Image Editing/Masking/Background Removal

Image background removal is done for many reasons. One of which is for product photography where the background needs to be perfectly white. Another reason might be to insert that product into another photo, such as taking a lamp and showing it in different settings. This can also be done with a person. To remove the background from an image the professional must first select the parts of the image they want to keep. This can be done several ways. One way might be to simply draw around the object and yet another way would be to create a clipping mask. Clipping masks are generally done when selecting a complicated image, such as a person. Please take a look at some of my samples here

Image Correction

Image Correction includes tasks such as color correction, exposure control, lightening shadows, darkening and adjusting exposure for blown out areas, removal of unwanted items such as trash, etc. It also includes cropping photos, but it can also mean adding to the photo. Take a look here for some examples.

Graphic Design

Several examples here of Graphic design.

Take a look at an advertisement I desined for a fictional movie called 'Above and Beyond'.

Or the maps I designed for a non-profit organization that featured pictures of animals indigenous to each continent.

I've also designed a catalog cover and book covers for a series of books.

I then designed some advertising samples on the theme of 'green' energy, and I showed how these would look when placed on various buildings and locations around the country.

And finally I took a line drawing of a house and 'painted' it in photoshop to show what the house would look like when finished and after the property had matured.

Web Design

Web Design takes elements of Graphic Design, Photography, Image Correction, Background Removal, html, css, JavaScript, and other elements, and mixes them all together in creative ways to create the web sites you see on the World Wide Web.

Some sites are very simple consisting of nothing more than html with a smattering of css thrown in. Most of the web sites created when the internet was at it's infancy are this way (some are still around).

Some sites are at the extreme oposite end of the spectrum and combine almost all elements of web design. These are the sites you see that are chock full of videos and contain interactive pages, blogs, forms, etc.

But the vast majority of web sites you will find are created on a middle ground, and these are the types that I work with.
Web pages built with html and css. Table less designs using divs and pure css2 with a bit of javascript occasionally thrown in. W3C compliant and supported by all major browsers including Internet Explorer 6.
